In this era of Googleability, there's something appealing about the stolidly anonymous Bar Without a Name (or No Name Bar, or Nameless Bar, depending on which camp you happen to fall into). There's no name and no sign, but there is a spacious backyard, which speaks louder (and draws more drinkers) than any clever name could hope to. The nearby Manhattan Inn, from Brooke Baxter and Rolyn Hu, the owners of Williamsburg rock spot Glasslands Gallery, does have a name, though a slightly misleading one: Manhattan Inn is, after all, located in Greenpoint. The updated spin on an old-time piano bar features a full menu, a cocktail-savvy bar staff and live music played on a white baby grand (check themanhattaninn.com for the current lineup), which has made it a favorite destination among the indie rockers and the hangers-on who live in the neighborhood. And the solid DJ roster, including former members of Yeasayer and Amazing Baby, doesn't hurt.
