Enjoy the post-holiday relaxation of spring in New York City, where the warm weather brings a variety of events and activities from mid-March through Memorial Day. As we pack away our winter coats and boots, it's time to get outside and enjoy some natural beauty, such as with the annual Hanami: Cherry Blossom Viewing at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. Spring also means baseball, and the Mets and Yankees home openers are a sure sign that the season has begun. If you're visiting Yankee Stadium, you may also want to check out the Baseball in the Bronx exhibit nearby at The Bronx Museum of the Arts. For film buffs, the Tribeca Film Festival is back once again, as is the Film Society of Lincoln Center's always-pleasing New Directors/New Films festival. Other popular recurring events include the TD Bank Five Boro Bike Tour, Fleet Week and Design Week/ICFF. View the full slideshow for more information on these and many other events.
