    Franny's has always been worth the trip to Brooklyn, but that's even more the case now. Francine Stephens' and Andrew Feinberg's original space had seating for roughly 50 customers. That led to torturous waits, which were made all the worse by the intoxicating scents of wood-fired pizza and sizzling pork sausage wafting from the open kitchen. The new venue, a short distance away, has more than doubled the capacity. Plus, this summer saw the introduction of lunch service, a more low-key time to find bliss with a blistered pizza. The airy space has rustic touches—exposed brick, stacked firewood for the two flaming ovens and the sort of mosaic tile seen in well-preserved tenement buildings. The menu remains highly seasonal, the salads and pastas so bursting with goodness and flavor you wish you could duplicate them at home. You can.
