  • World Science Festival
The best minds in the field come out for this annual event that celebrates the intersection of science and culture through lectures, film screenings, theater, dance and creative arts. The 2015 schedule of events includes a celebration of the 100th anniversary of Albert Einstein’s theory of relativity and perennial favorites like stargazing and the Flame Challenge, in which scientists attempt to answer big questions for kids (this year's query: what is sleep?). Past attendees have included astronomers, cosmologists, astrobiologists, a NASA solar astrophysicist and several astronauts. Get those questions ready—the festival this year runs May 27–31.
