Matthew Broderick leaped back in the public eye with his hilarious Ferris Bueller–inspired commercial during the Super Bowl. During his career, Broderick has garnered Broadway acclaim and success with projects like The Producers, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying and Brighton Beach Memoirs. This spring, he aims to score with a new musical, Nice Work If You Can Get It. Loosely based on a Gershwin flop, Oh, Kay!, this production features Broderick as Jimmy Winter, a playboy among other playboys, bootleggers and flapper girls enjoying themselves in a Prohibition-era Long Island mansion. Just as he is about to marry, Winter meets Billie Bendix, raising the possibility of romantic entanglement. South Pacific's Kelli O'Hara plays Bendix, and Kathleen Marshall, who won a Tony for Anything Goes last year, directs. The musical features songs culled from the Gershwin songbooks, like "Someone to Watch Over Me" and "'S Wonderful."
