Sipping hot chocolate in Central Park, ice-skating at Rockefeller Center and browsing fashion and food finds at multiple holiday markets are all festive, must-do December activities in New York City. But the holidays wouldn't be complete without a visit to the elaborate seasonal window displays at NYC department stores and luxury-goods flagships. Each year, the stores seem determined to outdo their own previous efforts, and 2012 is no different, from Bergdorf Goodman's jazz-age tribute to an elaborate circus show at Bloomingdale's to the innovative "hands-on" experience at Cartier.
