  • Bloomingdale's
Behind the Glass: This year, Bloomingdale's brings high-flying figures, clowns and traveling entertainers to an elaborate circus adorning its Lexington Avenue flagship. Drawing on inspiration from the upcoming James Cameron/Cirque du Soleil film Cirque du Soleil: Worlds Away 3D, the windows feature hand-painted characters and complex and colorful sets that illustrate scenes from the fantasy-filled film. And if you've ever wanted to run away and join the circus, now's your chance (sort of). Photos taken of you while you peek into cutout holes in certain windows are displayed onto the performers inside.

Bring Home: A cuddly special-edition Gund Holiday Bear ($18.50). A donation of $3.50 from the sale of each bear benefits the Child Mind Institute.
