Behind the Glass: The BG Follies of 2012 is an intricately crafted holiday display that celebrates the glamour and embellishment of film and theater costumes of the 1920s and '30s. Inspired by still photographs of productions of the past, Follies showcases mannequins dressed in rhinestone-, feather- and sequin-embellished gowns that embody the energy of the era. The holiday windows are broken into five acts and feature fashion from designers such as Marc Jacobs, Naeem Khan and Alexander McQueen. Mannequins dressed as Marilyn Monroe in Some Like It Hot and the original fan-dancing burlesque performer Sally Rand are among the windows dedicated to entertainers of that period.
