Meet the guide at the southeast corner of 125th Street and Lexington Avenue, a short train ride from most of the Midtown Manhattan hotels.
Climb aboard an air-conditioned vehicle, en route to the Bartow-Pell Mansion and City Island, located in the Northeast Bronx. While traveling over the Triborough Bridge, the guide will point out various points of interest. Upon arrival, meet the docent who will conduct a tour of the historic mansion and carriage house, with extra time allowed to visit the gardens.
The tour continues to City Island, a quaint community that is oftentimes compared to Cape Cod. After a brief walking tour, which includes incredible views of Long Island Sound, learn more about the island's history at the City Island Nautical Museum. Spend time at the exhibits that feature the history of the island’s importance in the sailing and fishing industries. The tour ends at your pickup site in Manhattan, at 125th Street and Lexington Avenue.
