A British Subject tells the true story of Mirza Tahir Hussain, an 18-year-old British subject who went to Pakistan and, within 24 hours of his arrival, was arrested for the murder of a taxi driver. He spent 18 years on death row, during which time he had only one visitor: Don Mackay, a journalist for a British newspaper. Mackay's wife, Olivier Award-winning actress Nichola McAuliffe, wrote and stars in this play, which runs December 9, 2009, through January 3, 2010; tickets are $35 for the general public and $24.50 for members.
