Aleathia Brown's studio is located within Chashama, a buzzing complex of galleries, art studios and rehearsal spaces. Drawing inspiration largely from 19th- and 20th-century artists, Brown's acrylic, watercolor and pastel images combine figuration with textures and patterns—and they capture all the dynamism of the Chashama facility itself. Brown works in a wide variety of media, including glass and metal.
