One middling eatery replaces another at this sequel to the shuttered Il Torchio. The setting is largely unchanged, with exposed-brick walls and wine-laden shelves. Unfortunately, Anima"s food is no less mediocre. Tagliatelle with bolognese was oversauced and slightly watery, and tender braised short ribs on a mound of sautéed broccoli rabe was marred by an intensely syrupy balsamic reduction. Dessert is a safer bet: a classic Tuscan pairing of cantucci (biscotti) with vin santo.{/I}
