It's surprising to find a hangout this mellow in the Meatpacking District. The 15-seat, L-shaped bar, the pillow-strewn lounge area and the short, stylish drink list are extremely straightforward, and the staff is helpful--which comes in handy when choosing from the diverse selection of affordable wines by the glass or bottle (we went for a tasty shiraz).
