Arthur & Co. is the brainchild of designer Neal Decker and master leather craftsman Arthur Jinjinian, who has been making bags in New York since 1983. The two teamed up to open a one-stop-shop for accessories, including handbags, jewelry and sandals. Their specialty--handbags--are made by hand in the back of the store in their studio, which allows them to customize any design for only $45. Strap modification (make a strap longer or add a detachable shoulder strap) is free. Among the selection of bags are pleated nylon totes ($142), leather envelope clutches ($98), and two-handle leather slouch bags ($248).
