Community engagement and activity turned this 30-acre park, which originally had very few facilities, into the family-friendly recreation area that it is today. The park boasts a playground with safety surfacing, three basketball courts, six tennis courts, handball courts and a large baseball field by the water—as well as a breathtaking view of Lower Manhattan.
