Paul Binder and Michael Christensen began their partnership as a comedic juggling act traveling the streets of Europe. In 1977 they raised their first Big Apple Circus tent in Battery Park. This showcase of worldwide circus talent includes fixtures like Grandma the Clown and a regular helping of yuks, and has been staged at Lincoln Center’s Damrosch Park since 1980.
