Bike New York promotes and encourages bicycling and bicycle safety through education, public events and collaboration with community and government organizations. The organization produces the largest cycling event in the United States: the TD Bank Five Boro Bike Tour, a 42-mile traffic-free ride for 32,000 cyclists. It also produces a series of regional rides outside of NYC, offers free bicycle education classes to the public and develops customized bicycle safety programs in and around the City.
