This family-run business, started in 1943, knows its burgers. And the burgers are pretty close to heaven: plump, juicy patties on fat kaiser rolls, served in a squeaky-clean room full of midtown worker bees. Fries are long and wide, with crisp golden outsides and almost fluffy middles. Don"t expect the salads to be anything more than adequate. But the milk shakes are paradisiacal, served--as they should be--in old-fashioned metal canisters.
