Calling your perfume store "I Hate Perfume" is a bold move. But designer and shop owner Christopher Brosius is just expressing his disdain for the mass-produced department-store spritzes, filled with brassy, overpowering flower or fruit notes—the very opposite of his subtle, thoughtful scents. Shoppers can pick up a vial of one of Brosius' ready-to-wear scents—which run the gamut from tea rose to the evocatively titled "Memory of Kindness"—or get a custom creation mixed on site.
