At this East 58th Street treasure, Northern Indian dishes are inspired by cookbook powerhouse Madhur Jaffrey. Many specialty items derive from her personal recipes and are unique to Dawat. Diners won’t go wrong with chicken tikka masala or parsi salmon, which is rubbed in coriander chutney and steamed in a banana leaf.
