Established in September 2007, and located in the lobby of the Off Soho Suites hotel, Eleven Rivington is an offshoot of 57th Street's tony Greenberg Van Doren Gallery. Indeed, it offers an impeccable midtown atmosphere in small-storefront form. The works of the artists here are just as classy, ranging from Volker Hueller's evocations of modernism via hand-colored etchings to Jacob Kassay's mirrorlike abstractions, which he creates by silver-plating painted canvases.
