Gizzi’s pleases palates of all types with delectable drinks and dishes. Fill up on a bagel loaded with lox and capers or two blintzes, which distinguish themselves from their pancake cousins by tasting like apple or cherry. Heartier appetites can be subdued with more substantial fare such as the ribeye steak sandwich or the grilled tilapia, topped with tartar sauce and served on ciabatta bread. Beverages include coffees and fruit smoothies. Amid a hip dining room replete with contemporary art–adorned brick walls and chalkboard menus, Gizzi’s full bar includes imported and domestic bottled beers, house wines and a large selection of liquors. Eardrums dance to live music seven days a week, and independent film screenings replace narrated flipbook viewings every other Sunday night from 7 to 10pm.
