Each April, the Havana Film Festival New York brings to the City award-winning films, highlights from Havana’s Festival Internacional del Nuevo Cine Latino Americano, and new independent movies from and about Latin America. More than 50 films that have received international critical acclaim—including premieres—originating from Cuba, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, Puerto Rico, Uruguay and the US are shown at Quad Cinema and in various locations throughout the City.
