Housed in a landmark building (circa 1812) with a colorful past, the Seaport Heartland is a must-visit for beer-history buffs and anyone exploring this richly historic neighborhood. Once the home of North Star Pub, this Heartland features many of its predecessor's original decorative elements, including a refurbished “fiddler" mahogany bar, tin ceiling and bentwood chairs, as well as "brewerania" (e.g. pre-Prohibition beer labels) from owner Jon Bloostein's collection. Since man can't survive on beer and history alone, be sure to try the barbecue.
