This envelope-pushing gallery claims to have recently been “re-opened” as the Eisenberg Deli & Grocery, a bodega on the Lower East Side, but it’s all part of an elaborate exhibition called Yes We Canned, created by Atlanta-born artist Ryan Watkins-Hughes. It’s a ton of fun to check out Watkins-Hughes’ painted cans lurking on seemingly normal grocery store shelves. When his show ends in mid-May, art lovers can look forward to 12 Instances, a Polaroid exhibition by photographer Molly Surno.
