Time Out NY Co-owner Phurbu "Chimmey" Tsamchoe (Perma, Norbu) thinks New York men are too limited when it comes to shopping: It's either high-end chic or H&M. Enter her latest venture, ID, which she hopes will provide local boys with a shopping middle ground. The sparse, cement-floored store focuses on hard-to-find international labels, including Japan's Naked & Famous raw-denim jeans ($125--$162) and France's Spring Court perforated leather sneakers ($159). The exotic threads share shelf space with goods by local designers, including Brooklyn-printed Uzi graphic tees ($38). And of course there are a few big names (Fred Perry, Alternative Apparel, etc.) for the label whores.
