NYCGO Member Logo Since 1971, when native New Yorkers Joe and Rachelle Friedman opened their first store selling vinyl records on Park Row, J & R Music has been serving the musical needs of New York City. They’ve since expanded into a massive superstore (selling everything from audio equipment to housewares) right across from City Hall downtown, as well as added an express store in Herald Square.
