This multidisciplinary urban arts center offers visual, performing and literary arts, arts education and other programs that promote the arts, encourage participation and also support the overall cultural enrichment of Queens. Some of the JCAL's larger events include a Black History Month Celebration, the Making Moves Dance Festival and a rotating selection of art exhibitions that often highlight local artists.
