New York City is made up of five boroughs: the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens and Staten Island. Each one has enough attractions—and enough personality—to be a city all its own. Learn more about them with this guide.
Jen Bekman founded this gallery in 2003 on a mission to make art-collecting more affordable, less intimidating and more easily available to a larger audience. The gallery's emphasis on emerging photographers, painters and mixed media artists—like Swoon, Holly Lynton, Christian Chaize and Tim Carpenter—as well as nontraditional programs, like their yearly contest for new photographers, and an innovative online sales program, show that it's possible to take on art-world traditions and win.
