The way this emporium is laid out can be slightly overwhelming: aisles of comic books, graphic novels, manga, mini-comics and more will require at least an hour of perusal for true fans. Even though it's a larger store, Jim Hanley's Universe does a great job of catering to more alternative tastes, with a good selection of independent and international comics and art books—after all, it respects the comic as an art in all its various forms.
