Italian designer Roberto Cavalli's first NYC flagship for his more-accessible line favors the people's cloth, denim, instead of the ultraglamorous leopard-print silks that he's sliced into slinky gowns for his celebrity-endorsed, upscale label. But don't expect plebian decor from the man with his own brand of premium vodka. The 4,527 square-foot boutique is as enormous as a mothership and decked out like one, too. Mirrored walls lead down to the men's lower level, blinking fiber optic lights hang in a constellation-like pattern from the ceiling, backlit displays silhouette handbags and womenswear and a gigantic serpentine chandelier can only be described as out of this world.
