New York City is made up of five boroughs: the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens and Staten Island. Each one has enough attractions—and enough personality—to be a city all its own. Learn more about them with this guide.
Founded in 1994 by Sarah East Johnson, this Brooklyn dance troupe develops and performs artistic works that combine dance, theater and acrobatics. LAVA has performed across New York City at such venues as PS 122, Dance Theater Workshop and Symphony Space, and has received numerous awards, including an OBIE in 2000. The troupe also offers classes in their unique dance style at their Brooklyn studio.
