Manhattan – Midtown East
230 Park Ave between 45th and 46th Sts
Manhattan, NY 10017
Tucked into the tunnellike walkway between Park Avenue and Grand Central, Léa is an upscale alternative for the financial-services suits that populate the area by day. The clientele and the waitstaff have that pinched European look, and you'll part with plenty of cash in order to mingle: A glass of wine starts at $8, and seats are only for bottle service (champagnes start at $48; liquors, $130). DJs play Thursday, Friday and Saturday, but the schedule often varies, so call in advance. Hard to justify, but there's a velvet rope outside.
