All the greats played here—Billie Holiday, Miles Davis, John Coltrane—and the entertainment in the jungle-fabulous Zebra Room is still spot on, as is the mac and cheese. An art deco vibe permeates the place (and the street front, too—the facade alone is worth the trip uptown).
