This fashionable West Village space dispenses Southern food with flair, focusing on the Lowcountry cuisine of South Carolina and Georgia. Look for fried green tomatoes, an iceberg salad with applewood-smoked bacon and deviled-egg dressing, baby back ribs and shrimp and grits. The cocktail program emphasizes bourbon, naturally. Previously, the space was Bar Blanc Bistro, which never quite gelled. With Lowcountry, owners Kiwon Standen and Didier Palange have a hit on their hands.
