Brantley Martin made a lot of friends in the last four years working as a club promoter for places like Lotus and Halo. Now, with the launch of Milieu in upper Chelsea, he can finally invite his VIP list to a place he actually owns (with partner Peter Rabasco). The bi-level restaurant-lounge is located near other nightlife hot spots (Quo, Ruby Falls, Marquee) but distinguishes itself by serving lunch--mainly to employees at Martha Stewart, Hugo Boss and Palm Pictures from the building next door--and dinner starting Labor Day. On the menu: black Angus beef or bluefin tuna burgers for lunch, and braised kobe beef shoulder or Alaskan king crab for dinner.
