description/
Owner, author and caterer Norma Jean Darden named Miss Maude’s after her beloved aunt. This sister restaurant to 110th Street’s Miss Mamie’s specializes in traditional soul food, like southern fried chicken, seafood gumbo, BBQ chicken, meatloaf, catfish, pork chops, macaroni and cheese, candied yams, collard greens and short ribs. Checkered tablecloths and a friendly, laid-back atmosphere evoke the restaurant’s motto: It’s like going back home.
