description/
The Museum of Tolerance New York (MOTNY) challenges visitors to confront bigotry and racism, and to understand the Holocaust in both historic and contemporary contexts. Through interactive workshops as well as exhibitions and videos, visitors explore issues of prejudice, diversity, tolerance and cooperation in the workplace, in schools and in the community. Additionally, the MOTNY is a professional development training facility targeting educators, law enforcement officials and members of state/local government—programs are led with a variety of multimedia tools. Modeled after the successful Tools for Tolerance Program at the Museum of Tolerance in Los Angeles, the MOTNY provides participants with meaningful educational and experiential training programs and welcomes field trips and group tours.
