Housed in a spectacular mansion on the Upper East Side’s famous Museum Mile, this museum is dedicated to 19th-, 20th- and 21st-century American art, with a permanent collection of more than 5,000 works that run the gamut from naturalistic, idyllic landscapes to jarring, modernist portraits.
