For the past 25 years, this once-abandoned school has grown to become one of the country’s leading arts institutions, dedicated to experimental and alternative productions, performances and programs. A home to many emerging artists, this space took hold in 1980, when it presented the first Avant-Garde-Arama, a multidisciplinary showcase, and published its first complete calendar of classes, workshops and more.
