New York City is made up of five boroughs: the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens and Staten Island. Each one has enough attractions—and enough personality—to be a city all its own. Learn more about them with this guide.
This taco shack alone is worth the trip to Rockaway, but surfers might as well bring their long boards for the subway ride. Rockaway Taco is just blocks away from one of the City's only surf spots, so it's a popular place for board riders to hang out and chow down. The menu is short and sweet, composed mostly of various tacos and quesadillas, plus fried plantain chips and fresh guacamole, but the Rockaway Taco dudes have obviously chosen quality over quantity. Between the surf and the mind-blowing Mexican cuisine, you might think you're in San Diego rather than NYC.
