New York City is made up of five boroughs: the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens and Staten Island. Each one has enough attractions—and enough personality—to be a city all its own. Learn more about them with this guide.
The 17 years Georgette Farkas devoted to Daniel Boulud as his director of communications and marketing gave her a great deal to work with. Her first solo project felt assured from the get-go, a grand yet relaxing 90-seat parlor with swagged curtains, wide aisles and walls of blue Portuguese tile and terracotta wallpaper. Farkas knows her clientele, dressed-down Thurston Howell III's and French expats who are grateful for low decibel levels, not-your-usual salads and the simplicity and juiciness of rotisserie chicken and meats. Chef David Malbequi (another Daniel vet) can also prepare feasts for 10 in a private dining room off the kitchen.
