Spirit hasn't yet come close to filling the void left when superclub Twilo departed this sacred ground. The New York outpost of a successful Dublin venture, this is a one-stop nightlife complex with a restaurant, live performance space and dance club. One miscalculation has already flopped here: The strange hippie vibe of the Mind lounge (tarot readings, massages, psychic sessions) scared off night crawlers, as did the high prices. So Spirit took the predictable route and hired mainstream promoters and DJs who play generic house and hip-hop to a generic trendy bunch.
