New York City is made up of five boroughs: the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens and Staten Island. Each one has enough attractions—and enough personality—to be a city all its own. Learn more about them with this guide.
StoryCorps is a nonprofit organization dedicated to documenting and preserving the colorful array of experiences and life stories of Americans. As of November 1, 2011, StoryCorps has scaled back its NYC-based operations, and has ended its public interview program. Until the organization re-establishes public programming in New York City, StoryCorps encourages visitors and locals to learn about other ways to participate in the StoryCorps experience, including recording stories for the National Day of Listening, renting a StoryKit or scheduling a Door-to-Door for your community. StoryCorps invites you to visit storycorps.org continue listening to the organization's stories and watching its animations. Help spread the word about StoryCorps by joining their Facebook page and following on Twitter.
