This theater district joint adopted the vibe (over-50) and decor (stodgy) of its previous occupant, shuttered old-timer René Pujol. Replacing the French bistro fare are large portions of well-priced, Latin-tinged comfort food. The smoky pork chops are solid despite their too-sweet sauce of apricot-brandy reduction, and small plates like pesto hummus make for good, if uninspired, snacks. The place seems to be angling for a more than pretheater sustenance: Thursday through Sunday nights bring classic film screenings starting at 7:30pm.
