The Drama Book Shop has been an unwavering supporter of the theater for nearly a century, and as such it has recently been presented with the 2011 Tony Honors for Excellence in the Theatre. Generations of theater-lovers have browsed the store's shelves, finding hard-to-locate manuscripts, new works from theaters in other countries, and just-published copies of hit plays. The book shop includes a small black box theater which is continuously used to present new works and seminars for the theater community at no cost.
