The Poetry Project, St. Mark's Church in-the-Bowery
Housed in a beautiful old church, the Project has hosted an amazing roster of poets since its inception in 1966, including Allen Ginsberg, Michael Ondaatje and Adrienne Rich. It also offers workshops, lectures, book parties and an open poetry reading on the first Monday of each month.
