New York City is made up of five boroughs: the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens and Staten Island. Each one has enough attractions—and enough personality—to be a city all its own. Learn more about them with this guide.
This temporary outdoor café—sponsored by Southwest Airlines—is nicer than any business-class lounge. It’s so easygoing you don’t even have to buy anything to relax in a rocking chair or on a porch swing. Sandwiches and drinks are available for purchase, courtesy of Tom Colicchio’s ’wichcraft, and tables can otherwise be used for chess, checkers, backgammon, Scrabble or setting up your laptop (there's free wireless). Sandwiches are New York–themed (meatball parm) or inspired by LaGuardia fly-to destinations (Chicago-style bratwurst, for instance). Or try the signature Southwestern pork sandwich with chilies, avocado and pickled onions, and finish with an assorted cookie plate. The porch closes shop mid-September.
