The Gramercy Park Hotel's Rose Bar and Jade Bar aren't a part of a typical weekend barhopping routine. After all, post-9pm, unless your résumé is littered with phrases like "Academy Award winner" (or, of course, unless you're staying at the hotel), then these hotspots are strictly off-limits. However, before 9pm, the bars have an open-door policy, so anybody in the mood to splurge can party with regulars like Leonardo DiCaprio, the men of Entourage and an endless cast of New York A-listers. Since the places don't get hopping till the wee hours, the pre-9pm crowd can pass the time enjoying the bars' tasty signature cocktails (the bartender recommends a Diamonds and Pearls, made from Reyka vodka with muddled blackberries and coconut) while gawking at the remarkable contemporary art collection (which changes about every six months). Graced with works by Damien Hirst, Keith Haring, Richard Prince and a rare Andy Warhol/Jean-Michel Basquiat collaboration, the bars feature pieces that would make even MoMA curators swoon.
