Jen Bekman is a modern-day art entrepreneur, having built a successful business out of discovering and promoting new talents, using the Internet and her eponymous street-level gallery in NoLIta. Bekman focuses on cultivating both the demand (encouraging new collectors) and the supply (finding new artists) for fine art through projects like 20x200, where framed pieces start at $120. Since opening her gallery in 2003, Bekman has watched the art scene in NoLIta grow and expand.
